The Modbo 4.0 is a more basic chip in terms of functionality, and should support all PS2 systems from V1 through V18. The Modbo 5.0 is a more advanced chip in terms of functionality, and should support all PS2 systems from V1 through V18. Added functionality includes support for booting from USB devices (DEV3 boot mode). This is particularly useful for slim systems that don't have a hard drive to boot from. The Modbo 750 is functionally identical to the Modbo 4.0. There are many modchips that have a name starting with Modbo.
